Turkey closed the year 2021 with an export of 453 million dollars, and the export target for 2022 stands at 650 million dollars. 100 out of every 5 tangerines produced in the world are in Turkey. The world-famous Izmir's satsuma tangerine yield increased by 100 percent to 175,000 tons. Turkey now ranks third in tangerine production, after China and Spain. 100 out of 5 tangerines produced in the world are produced in Turkey, that exported 58 percent of the tangerines it produced.
