APHIS authorizes the importation of fresh pummelo fruit from Vietnam into the US

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is authorizing the importation of pummelo fruit (Citrus maxima Merrill) from Vietnam into the United States (Docket No. APHIS-2020-106-2).

APHIS previously made the pest risk analysis that describes potential pests associated with the commodity available for public review and comment.

APHIS has concluded that the application of one or more phytosanitary measures will be sufficient to mitigate the risks of introducing or disseminating plant pests or noxious weeds for imports of fresh pummelo fruit from Vietnam. This change is effective on October 4, 2022.
