Iran: New duties on tomato and onion exports

The Iranian Agriculture Ministry has set new duties on the export of tomatoes and onions. The measure has been taken to regulate the domestic market and prevent a price increase.

The export of a kilogram of tomatoes will be subjected to 40,000 rials ($0.12) in customs duty from October 23 until January 5, 2023, and that of onions will be levied 20,000 rials ($0.06) per kilogram as of October 23 until February 19, 2023.
