Walther Farms has locations in more than 10 states including Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, and Nebraska. Mike Phillips from Walther Farms has stated that Brownfield harvest crews have been able to work around the scattered rains the past few weeks: “We have a nice crop coming, it’s a good market, harvest progress is on track or slightly ahead.”
Although the wet harvest hasn’t impacted yields yet, a wet and cold spring did. “A cold snap in late April/early May made plants late coming out the ground, yields are going to be average,” Phillips shares.
