Industrie Montali

Exports are rewarding made in Italy products even in times of crisis

Italy's Industrie Montali, focused on made in Italy products, continues expanding especially in foreign markets, albeit in a climate of uncertainties that sees rising production costs in every link of the production chain. This is a trend that originated in 2021 and has been exacerbated by the energy and international crisis related to the war in Ukraine. Despite this, on a commercial level, exports are rewarding, even in times of crisis.

"Among the novelties concerning the ready-to-use product range, there is the development of new high-precision processing lines, which are more performing both for single-portion sachet packaging and for processed products offered in tubes. The change in daily rhythms and lifestyles is significantly modifying our relationship with food and, therefore, the demand for innovative products is growing, alongside the new emerging food trends," said Stefania Montali, marketing manageress and owner of Industrie Montali, in taking stock of the commercial situation in the first half of 2022.

Prodotti bio-vegan: non solo moda, ma importanti driver di crescita

Industrie Montali is a historic Italian company with more than 100 years of experience behind it that, in the generational change, has been able to intercept consumer needs, anticipating changes in lifestyle and food consumption patterns over the past two decades. The Montali family's initial mission has therefore expanded, ranging from the processing of tomato concentrate to the production of ready-made sauces in single-portion sachets and pâtés, offered in tubes, thus creating a wide assortment of easy-to-use products.

Industrie Montali's flagship products are highly appreciated by international markets and, as of now, include ready-made sauces, pates and double tomato paste. New products include the Sauces Line and The new Chef Line. The Sauces Line is available in the flavors Agrodolce con Cipolla, Cocktail, Barbecue, and Ketchup, offered in the dual format of tube and single-serving sachet. Ketchup is the second most popular sauce in Russia after mayonnaise and is the top reference in the company's product range. A notable plus in the range is the pack, which can reduce shelf space by up to 30 percent and reduce energy consumption in the logistics chain; it is also easy-to use thanks to the tear-off opening.

The Chef Line consists of a thick paste in a tube, with a high concentration of raw material, in the flavors: onion, capers, garlic, soffritto and double tomato paste. It is a tasty and original offering in both packaging and recipe, available in a handy 90-gram tube. Easy to use in cooking, it is suitable for giving an extra touch of flavor to sauces, meat or simply to a pasta dish.
