UK: Morrisons urgently recalls fruit over fears it could contain Salmonella

According to the Food Standards Agency, Morrisons are now taking safety steps by recalling two of their popular fruit products as they could contain Salmonella.

A food alert, covering Scotland, England and Wales, read: "Morrisons has taken the precautionary step of recalling Morrisons Mango and Morrisons Mango Fingers because they might contain Salmonella."

The FSA adds that symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps which customers who have consumed the product should keep an eye out for. They add that point of sale notices will be displayed in retail stores that are selling these products.
