The actor behind the iconic Man from Del Monte adverts has died aged 91 after a protracted battle with cancer. Jackson was best known for starring in more than 25 commercials in 32 countries from the 1980s to the early 2000s as a fruit inspector in a Panama hat who only buys the best juice.
The long-running TV campaign always used the catchphrase: 'The Man from Del Monte, he says yes'. The actor died peacefully at his home in London's West End on Saturday, July 2, after a long battle with prostate cancer.
