Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath:

‘Organic mangoes will rule the markets’

At the mango festival he inaugurated at Awadh Shilpgram on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that organically grown mangoes will have a great demand in the domestic as well as international markets.

“I wanted to visit every stall but could not because of the lack of time. One thing that I found missing was organic mango. It would have a huge demand,” he said, adding that while production has been increased to increase export there has to be a balance between demand and supply along with the timely availability of the produce and its good quality.

The state government is already working to provide infrastructure like testing labs. With the help of Israel, two centres of excellence have been set up in the state: in Basti for horticultural produce and in Kannauj for vegetables, said Yogi.
