The world's most costly mangoes are purple

For those who wonder what’s the world's most expensive mango variety: an Indian industrialist shared pictures of the world's "costliest" mangos. The Mizyazaki mango, is said to be a rare variety of mango that is grown mostly in Japan. The crop variety is seldom grown in India.

An extraordinary feature of the fruit is its unique purple color. Unfortunately, these mangoes have to be protected from thieves; whoever grows them in India has to make security arrangements to avoid thefts. The farmer from whose orchard the pics have been taken has hired three guards and six dogs to protect the farm, the industrialist tweeted.
