Enza Zaden will celebrate a new edition of the Melon House Fair from June 27 to July 8

"Full-year melon and watermelon program with products that have resistances that make a difference"

Enza Zaden's team will receive professionals from the sector from June 27 to July 8 in the field test site in El Albujon, Murcia, during their Melon House Fair event.

"Melon House Fair is a space for all professionals in the sector to share experiences, discuss market trends with all the parties involved in the value chain, and learn about the latest developments in melon and watermelon," stated Josephine Inturrisi, Marketing Specialist, at Enza Zaden.

"Enza Zaden's improvement teams' mission is to add value to the entire chain. To do this, they must know what the customers needs, as well as the different parties involved in the production and distribution chain," she added.

Full-year program with resistances that make a difference
During these two weeks, the focus will be on the complete programs and novelties in melon and watermelon crops.

"We have different varieties and production sites in different parts of the world. That allows us to carry out complete programs using different typologies to guarantee a production (and supply) 365 days a year, without renouncing to the quality and flavor, which are fundamental characteristics to add value to the entire chain," Josephine stated.

This year, following the latest events, the resistances also make a difference in the cultivation of melons. "Resistant varieties are even more important as they are a key element not only to have healthier crops that are free of residues but also to ensure continuous supply, as production is carried out in different parts of the world," the marketing manager stated.

100% customized meetings: face-to-face or online
This year, customer meetings will be held in person. However, the event will also carry out online meetings for those customers who cannot attend it in person. In both cases, the bet is for personalized and interactive meetings that satisfy the needs of customers.

"Melon House Fair is, once again, an example of collaboration between multidisciplinary departments that, working together, manage to offer value to customers," Josephine said.
