Atlas fruits company:

Acquisition of a minority stake in the Land Degradation Neutrality fund

The Atlas fruits company, which specializes in citrus growing, opens its capital to the Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) fund, managed by Mirova, the affiliate of Natixis investment managers, dedicated to sustainable investment. This operation is part of Atlas fruits company’s development strategy for the implementation of sustainable practices in the citrus production sector in Morocco, with particular attention to efficient water management.

This decision also marks the company’s desire to move towards organic fruit production, by converting existing orchards and creating new orchards across the Kingdom.

It should be noted that Atlas fruits company was advised by the investment bank West capital partners and the law firm ADNA. For its part, Mirova was accompanied by the firm UGGC Africa for this first operation in Morocco.

Through this acquisition of a minority stake in the LDN fund, Atlas fruits company is accelerating its development by increasing its orchard cultivation area from 250 ha to 1,000 ha by 2028. This operation will create 1,000 jobs on farms and 300 additional jobs, by integrating the activity of the packing station.
