Casino Group: Cameras to avoid shortage of fruit and vegetables on the shelves

In 2021, the Casino Group signed a partnership with the Belive.ai start-up in order to implement a new artificial intelligence solution in stores and equip supermarkets of the Casino Group with “intelligent cameras” to avoid stock shortages on the shelves.

Already used in other grocery aisles of the supermarkets, this detection system will now be installed in the fruit and vegetable sections in order to assess the stocking level in this section as well. If an anomaly is detected, the system alerts the employees who can then restock the empty shelves.
