It's almost time for Interpera 2022

The consumption of pears in Europe has been under pressure for a number of years, but has there been a turnaround? Germans, British and Dutch consumers bought an average of 5 percent more pears in 2021 than a year earlier. This after strong  growth in 2020. Will this continue? And what are the harvest and sales expectations for the coming season? You will hear it during Interpera 2022. From 28 to 30 June 2022 the international pear conference Interpera will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This 14th edition is organized by AREFLH and DPA/GroentenFruit Huis.

Why Interpera?
This pear event is a unique opportunity for growers and trading companies to be informed about the latest developments in cultivation, marketing and consumption. You will meet colleagues from the international pear sector and discuss its opportunities and challenges. What are the trends for the future?

Tuesday 28 June: technical tour
The first day will take participants to the Betuwe with the visit of various companies dedicated to cultivation, new varieties, research, sorting and packaging.

Wednesday 29 June: Interpera Conference
On the second day, the conference will take place at the Zalmhuis in Rotterdam. We will talk about various topics such as market developments, consumer insight, innovations and more. For three days the participants will have the possibility to network and share experiences. During a dinner in the Euromast, the highest observatory tower in the Netherlands, participants will be able to discuss and network while enjoying a beautiful view of Rotterdam.

Thursday 30 June: Pear Day in Krabbendijke
On the third day Interpera will visit the Pear Day in Krabbendijke, an unique event that gathers national and international visitors, from growers to sellers, technical companies and stakeholders from the pear’s field of innovation, crop protection and fertilization. This exhibition offers the opportunity to see demo trials, visit an orchard, network, share knowledge and discuss the pear developments.

Tickets are available online now and can be bought on www.interpera.org where the prices for  the different activities of the congress are detailed.
