Sunkist puts old logo back on new packaging

Sunkist Growers is excited to showcase its organic citrus portfolio at the upcoming Organic Produce Summit (OPS) July 13–14, 2022 in Monterey, California.

Along with lemons and Valencia oranges on display at OPS, the complete assortment also includes Navel oranges and organic specialties such as Cara Cara and Blood oranges, Star Ruby grapefruit, California mandarins and Minneola tangelos.

For more than 15 years, the California citrus cooperative has been a proud provider of USDA-certified organic citrus and continues to offer seasonal varieties throughout the year to meet ongoing demand. Sunkist offers consistent, year-round supply of organic citrus, alongside conventional counterparts.

Lemons and Valencia oranges are currently in season and will be displayed at OPS, while the complete assortment also includes Navel oranges, as well as organic specialties such as Cara Cara and Blood oranges, Star Ruby grapefruit, California mandarins and Minneola tangelos.

The retro lollipop logo also symbolizes the sustainable farming practices used by Sunkist grower members.

This has been a milestone year for the Sunkist organic line. Sunkist is very excited to debut its new organic packaging with designs that celebrate its California heritage and feature the iconic Sunkist lollipop logo, first introduced in the ‘60s and brought back by popular demand. The retro logo also symbolized the sustainable farming practices used by Sunkist grower members and resonates with Gen Z and Millennials. More than half of respondents in a Sunkist commissioned study felt the logo brought about positive emotions.

Sunkist’s new organic packaging and merchandising includes: the organic display master, full carton and organic lemon 1 lb. net, 1 lb. pouch bag and 8lb. Valencia orange combo bag, which will be on display at the summit.

Attendees of OPS can visit the Sunkist booth (Booth #904) to take a closer look at the new packaging and merchandise displays as well as learn more about marketing and merchandising programs.
