"The flavor is even better, and we want to share this taste with even more customers"

"Sonya apples from New Zealand enter Chinese market"

"Sonya apples from New Zealand entered the Chinese market for the first time this year in May," said Fion Lam, International Sales Manager at Shenzhen Yuanxing Fruit Co., Ltd(hereafter referred to as "Yumsun Fruit").

The Sonya apple from New Zealand is a hybrid combination of Delicious Red and Gala apples. The appearance is similar to Delicious Red. The Sonya is a large apple with silky red stripes across the fruit peel. The fruit flesh is firm and has a unique fragrance. The flavor is fragrant and sweet. This apple variety has been cultivated in the last few years and only recently entered the market. The apple has unique product qualities and the market potential is huge. Some New Zealand apple varieties saw their export volumes decline, but the export volume of Sonya apples only expanded. New Zealand will send an estimated 60 shipping containers of Sonya apples to China this year.

"Production areas in New Zealand are still harvesting Sonya apples. The weather conditions were great during the growing season and precipitation was regular. That is why the product quality of Sonya apples is great this year, and the production volume increased. Yumsun Fruit is the exclusive distributor of Sonya apples in China. This year we are promoting Sonya apples on an even greater scale. We want to share the unique flavor of this apple with even more customers!"

"We sell the apples in boxes of different sizes to meet the diverse requirement of various markets. For example, we have boxes with four apples, six apples, and eight apples. We also have gift boxes for special occasions. Moreover, in wholesale markets we offer boxes of 8.5-17 kg. Starting from this week, Sonya apples will appear on the shelves of large supermarkets, including AEON, CR Vanguard, Ole, Yonghui, Rainbow, and Wal-Mart. We also sell the apples in various packaging forms including loose pack, convenient carrier bag, and gift box. Sea freight between New Zealand and China usually lasts around 2-3 weeks, which is even quicker than from Europe, so New Zealand apples always arrive 'fresh' on the Chinese market."

"Our company immediately loved the Sonya apple when the fruit entered the market, because this apple has a unique shape, beautiful fragrance, and excellent flavor. We are organizing a variety of promotional activities for New Zealand Sonya apples, so that even more people become aware of this amazing apple," said Fion Lam with an optimistic look to the future of Sonya apples. "Sonya apples from New Zealand are available in every major market in cities throughout the country, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Changsha, Nanchang, Wuhan, and Hong Kong."

Shenzhen Yuanxing Fruit already has more than thirty years experience in fruit trade management. The company manages wholesale trade, but also supplies direct to high-end and mid-end supermarkets as well as a range of offline retail channels including fruit pick up lockers, community purchases, etc. The company manages domestic fruits as well as import fruits from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Egypt, South America, and Southeast Asia.
