"The Board of Directors of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association A.G. (ASOEX) announces that Mr. Ronald Bown Fernández has initiated his retirement process. Consequently, he will be leaving his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of our institution shortly.
The Board of Directors of ASOEX wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Ronald, for the countless achievements that have been obtained under his administration in benefit of the fruit export activity, especially highlighting his commitment to achieve a proper conjunction of the interests of the sector with those of the country, having created a team of collaborators and related organizations whose main hallmark has been, and will be, the achievement of the common good in all its various activities.
In view of the above, our Board of Directors started a selection process for a new Chairman. After a long and impartial process, Mr. Iván Marambio Castaño, current member of the Board of Directors, lawyer by profession and with over 20 years of experience in the fruit industry, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association A.G. (ASOEX).
We are certain that Mr. Marambio will contribute greatly to our Institution. He will join us next September and we wish him every success in his new duties.
We reiterate our gratitude to Mr. Ronald Bown Fernández, who will continue to be involved with our institution as an advisor, with the purpose of collaborating for a successful transition process."
