A delegation visited Sipo during Macfrut

A tour to get to know vegetables from Romagna

During Macfrut, 16 foreign buyers took part in a guided tour of the Sipo company - sales managers came from Poland, Lithuania, Great Britain, Denmark, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

"Our participation at Macfrut was a success beyond our expectations. Our company has been on the market for over 60 years and we are trying to increase our turnover abroad in the vegetable sector. We registered a lot of involvement from Italian and foreign buyers, producers, consultants and collaborators," reported Massimiliano Ceccarini from Sipo.

The objective of the visit was to promote open-field productions and showcase the company. After a tour of the fields guided by export manager Riccardo Giacomini and Simona Ceccarini, owner of the company together with her brother Massimilano, guests visited the various departments dedicated to the sorting, peeling, cutting, processing and packaging of the products. In addition, all the Sapori del mio Orto, Verdure di Romagna and Sapori del bio Orto product ranges were presented in a show room.

"Clients particularly appreciated the quality of the raw materials, the organization and the meticulous processing and packaging. Considering the positive feedback, we now expect to strengthen our presence in Europe and enter the Middle Eastern markets."

Massimiliano Ceccarini

Macfut 2022 was also the occasion to record season two of "La Natura dal campo alla tavola - Storia delle eccellenze italiane", a series in which many experts took part as well as representatives such as Emma Petitti, President of Assemblea legislativa dell'Emilia-Romagna, and Carlo Carli, President of Confagricoltura di Forlì-Cesena e Rimini. The episode will be available on all the Sipo social media pages.
