A dozen hectares of pear trees planted

Charles & Alice invests in Williams pears

While some sectors are seeing their production decrease year after year, others are making commitments, like Charles & Alice, which has been investing in the Williams pear for two years already, a variety which is very popular for desserts because of its very sweet taste.

Given the difficulties with the supply of French Williams pears, competing with the Spanish and Italian productions, the company has signed a partnership with a cooperative located in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence in order to plant a dozen hectares of pear trees and hopefully revive the French production.
