After a long time without being able to meet customers physically due to the coronavirus pandemic, Willem Dijk AGF recently organized a Food Trend Event for its customers. Under a radiant sun, about fifteen suppliers presented their new products to the public, from ginger shots to barbecue vegetables.
Among the suppliers present were Soupy, Jac van den Oord, Greens&Salads, Bonfait, VersAlert, Hoogesteger, Rational, Zespri, Chiquita, Eminent Food, Peka Kroef, Looye Kwekers, Grensland Zuivel, Ginger Jack, Twepa, Houwers Groep and Schulp Vruchtensappen
Some 250 visitors attended the event, including retailers, supermarket entrepreneurs, suppliers and other contacts. A number of German customers also attended and were inspired to surprise their customers with new products and ideas.
Marjon Kranenburg, of Willem Dijk AGF, is satisfied with how the Food Trend Event went. "For us, it was the first time organizing an event in this way. The event lasted from 16.00 to 21.00 and we had a constant flow of people, including some who had driven a long way to attend. This shows that people are really feeling the need to meet each other again. For us, it is certainly worth doing it again!"
