Moldova saw sharp rise of apple exports in April

Almost 25,000 tons of apples were exported from the Republic of Moldova in April this year, which is more than twice as much as their external supplies last March (11,000 tons) and even significantly exceeds April exports (20.500 tons) in the pre-war last year.

In the structure of supplies of Moldovan apples last month, a little more than 20,000 tons were in the CIS countries (Russian, Belarusian, Uzbek markets) and Georgia. At the same time, about 2,000 tons of apples were sent to Romania and the countries of the Middle East. It is especially worth considering that the Republic of Moldova has been supplying about 1,900-2,000 tons of apples to the Romanian market for the second month in a row. Whereas for the entire last year, only about 1,800 tons were exported to the Romanian market, and in the best marketing seasons – up to 3,000 tons of Moldovan apples.
