In March 2022, China exported 84,500 tons of apples, and the total value was US$102.6 million, with an average price of US$1,214.37 per ton. Compared with that in March 2021, the export volume increased by 23% year-on-year, the value increased by 3.82%, and the average price decreased by 15.59%. Compared with that in February 2022, the export volume increased by 96.8%, the value increased by 89.38%, and the average price decreased by 3.77%.
In March 2022, Indonesia ranked first among the countries and regions that have imported apples from China, with a quantity of 20,700 tons, and the value was US$ 2.42 million.
Bangladesh ranked second, with 21,300 tons and a value of US$22,900.
Thailand was in third place, with 10,800 tons and a value of US$1.49 million.
The Export Countries/Regions of China's Apple
Ranked by volume from largest to smallest, the top 10 countries and regions that imported apples from China in March are Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, United Arab Emirates. Among the regions with the largest export volume, the largest export value came from Indonesia.
Among all the provinces and cities that export apples in China, the top three are Shandong Province, Gansu Province, and Shaanxi Province. In March 2022, the three regions exported a total of 71,400 tons of apples, accounting for 84.55% of the total export volume, while Shandong Province accounted for 71.68% of the total export volume and the proportion increased.
