Garlic exports hit record high in March

In March, the storage garlic showed a trend of recovering indistinctly, but the price increase was not obvious, and the market was still oscillating at a low level throughout the month. With the approaching of new garlic, there is an eagerness to reduce the volume of storage garlic, and the pressure on the supply side cannot be overestimated.

At the same time, the quality problems such as frozen cloves, softness, and budding in the storage are also emerging in an endless stream, and the shipping intention of the inventors in the production area is enhanced. Some sellers with compromised garlic take the initiative to drop the price to sell. Under the influence of the pandemic, the demand from the domestic market is limited, merchants who have rigid demand buy the goods cautiously. Although the export in the second half of the season has boosted the market, the growth of the market is weak. Overall, the price is still at a new low this month since the opening of the storage.
