PND's washing tank for the fresh-cut fruit sector

The Italian company PND has created and released on the market a new tank for washing two different fruits at the same time. It is called Magnum. The water flow pushes the fruits on a modular belt, allowing the product to be washed in water even if it is not floating. The product is washed through a mumbling system. The washing tank is equipped with a recirculation pump and a water filtering system to minimize water waste. It is also possible to adjust the belt speed thanks to an inverter installed on the panel. Post-process sanitization is easy, thanks to the openings on both sides of the tank and to the side panels that can be easily overturned. The machine can be equipped with a number of optional instruments ranging from a double filter to a complete conductivity and dosage control system, as well as a misting and blowing system on the outgoing elevator.

It started its business of producing machinery for fruit processing in a small structure of 400 square meters and today covers 6000 square meters of indoor and outdoor spaces.

It currently employs over 40 professionals distributed between administration, sales office, purchasing office, technical office, production, warehouse, logistics and maintenance. With constant and assiduous work, the company has achieved high levels of efficiency on its machinery and about 93% of its turnover is achieved abroad.

"We have come a long way, and we have increased our awareness and potential. It is also a source of great personal pride for me to have my daughter and son alongside me in the company. Now that they are old enough to be actively involved in our business project, I have also reached an important personal goal,” said the entrepreneur.

Since July 2020, PND's management has included Melania Di Prisco, who was joined in July 2021 by Antonio Di Prisco, who actively follows the production processes. The first one will be the reference person for the customers also in the sector fairs, while the second one is in charge of new installations and machinery maintenance.
