The harvesting campaign of the Primofiore lemon is in full swing

"We hope that the 2022 edition of this fair, the most important for the fruit and vegetable sector, will mark the start of a new beginning and that the next editions will see a return to peace and normality, both in the world and in the fruit and vegetable sector. It would be nice to meet again for the next Fruit Logistica in February 2023 with the same ease of the pre-pandemic and pre-war period," said Salvatore Scarcella, president of CAI - Cooperativa Agricoltori Ionici of Furci Siculo (ME), on his return from Berlin.

The 2022 edition of the event appeared low-key, especially during the first day. "In previous editions, such as the one in February 2020 you could immediately see a massive movement of visitors right from the very first day. This year instead, the pace was slow. Fortunately, I had to reconsider my initial fears. Despite a reduced number of exhibitors, which I believe was due to the uncertainty of long-term planning, the attendance was positive," continued the entrepreneur.

"We were finally able to reconnect with our customers and friends after a long time, and we also made new acquaintances with potential future partners."

Stand details

"In the meantime, the harvest of Primofiore lemon is in full swing, it is perfectly yellow, and it is distributed in the main supermarket chains both in Italy and abroad. We export mainly to Germany, but also to the rest of the European continent. In the future, we will also supply the processing industries, which in turn serve companies such as pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies with the organic product," concluded Salvatore Scarcella.
