Experience Fruit Quality

Ripeness and quality data at your fingertips

Experience Fruit Quality has created a fruit quality and ripeness platform for companies that work with exotic fruit on a daily basis. It integrally links sourcing, quality control, ripening, and sorting information and automatically makes it understandable. Companies receive targeted advice and support for everyday decisions.

  • Sourcing: Understand what to buy, when, and where
  • Quality Control (QC): Predict incoming batches' yields
  • Ripening: Know when this process must begin and end
  • Grading: Deliver within agreed/required client specs

Besides the data platform, this Dutch company has developed a compact device, the AVOS mini. You can objectively record mangos and avocados' quality without having to slice into these fruits. The fruit's ripeness, color, and (internal/external) quality are directly visible. The AVOS mini stores this data for future reference.

So, you no longer have to re-enter various measuring devices' information. You can also connect this integrated solution device to Experience Fruit Quality's (EFQ) fruit quality and ripeness platform. You can see the AVOS mini in action at the upcoming Fruit Logistica.

The EFQ platform/AVOS mini combination lets you follow the same avocado through its ripening process. You can see the fruit development, step-by-step, in terms of ripeness and possible defects. This product's ripening process can be closely monitored and, if needed, adjusted. That is based on each country of origin's ripening formulas, season, and size. This system, therefore, provides a predictable end result.

"This year, we'll be starting with the Mangos mini too. It has a built-in spectrometer, as well as pressure measurements and photographic sensors. It can accurately measure mangos' internal color and Brix value non-destructively. Mangos mini is, of course, also controlled from the EFQ data platform, translating all insights into operational decisions," says a company representative.

You can find Experience Fruit Quality in Hall 3.2, stand A 13 at Fruit Logistica, where you can see all they have to offer.
