Jan-Hendrik Fischer about industry software FrachtPilot:

"Digital workflow saves up to 800 paper slips a week"

In today's fast-moving fresh produce industry, the ordering and delivery process should be as quick and efficient as possible. Cloud-based business platform FrachtPilot enables the complete digitization and automation of the marketing processes of agricultural direct marketers in real time - from customer orders to warehousing and delivery to invoicing. These functions not only save the user time, but paper and money as well. Last but not least, previous customer and product data is now available in seconds via an automatic import function, says co-initiator Jan-Hendrik Fischer.

For the second time in a row, the industry-oriented software was presented at the expoSE in Karlsruhe. Despite the Corona-driven, more manageable number of visitors, the response was very nice, says Fischer. "Our system is already being used successfully throughout the DACH region, at fruit farms that deliver their own goods, for example. However, we are open to everything and everyone and are on the lookout for further areas of application, for example in fruit and vegetable wholesaling," Fischer explains.

Sustainable and efficient
Whether in the B2B or B2C sector, the process launched in 2019 offers users multiple advantages, Fischer continues. "We have extrapolated that in some cases one will save on about 500-800 paper slips a week. Many new customers therefore opt for our process for sustainability reasons." Another factor, according to Fischer, is delivery optimization: "Based on historical traffic data, vehicles are strategically deployed and deliveries are continuously optimized. In this way, up to 30% of vehicles can be saved in day-to-day practice."

Further improvements to the process are already planned. "We have noticed that many customers find it difficult to get away from faxes. It is precisely this user group that we want to accommodate with a digital fax form," says Fischer.

Upcoming trade show dates
Provided they will take place in these times of Corona, in the coming year the Frachtpilot team will be present at Fruchtwelt Bodensee, BioFach and Agritechnica. "We are seeing interesting development possibilities for our system in the organic scene, as this market segment is rather product-independent and many farms supply the full range of fresh produce."
