Fructura Expo postponed until 2022

"The [Dutch] non-profit organization, Fruittelers Zuid-Limburg's executive committee had a difficult meeting. It took the well-considered decision to postpone Fructura Expo to next year," the Fructure Expo team told its partners and exhibitors.

"Every three years, this is usually a highlight for the sector. We can meet up, discuss the past and look ahead to the future together. It would have been a subdued event next weekend. Not because face masks are off-putting.

"Or because we're afraid. But because we cannot gather, unrestrained. And, because COVID-19 isn't yet gone. We didn't expect this to still cause such trouble for Fructura so close to the event. It would be unwise not to give this the attention it deserves."

"Our goal isn't just a successful trade show that benefits everyone. Our desire goes much further. Our sector and the many crucial suppliers and service providers' continuity must remain secure. More than ever, we fruit growers must keep being able to count on your expertise."

"Everyone's health is crucial so the business can continue to run. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was the right one according to our partners and us. The management committee has taken responsibility and decided not to hold the fair until next year. Let's look forward together to Fructura Expo 2022."
