Cauliflower and broccoli most popular cabbage varieties among consumers

No cabbage is more popular in Germany, according to Deutsches Obst und Gemüse: Cauliflower and broccoli took first and second place in the 2020 German cabbage ranking - with purchase volumes of 74,151 tons and 59,595 tons respectively.

Cauliflower always convinces Germans of its first-class qualities. It is closely followed by broccoli.

Per capita consumption in 2020 in private households:

  • Cauliflower (0.9 kilos)
  • Broccoli (0.73 kilos)
  • White cabbage (0.60 kilos)
  • Kohlrabi (0.60 kilos)
  • Brussels sprouts (0,47 kilo)
  • Pointed cabbage (0,29 kilo)
  • Chinese cabbage (0,29)
  • Savoy cabbage (0,25 kilo)
  • Red cabbage (0,23 kilo)
  • Kale (0.04 kilos)
