Recently Liquidseal has launched the option to rent an application machine. This allows their shelf-life-extending coating to be applied. First they had Liquidseal, now they offer Liquidseal plus a machine.
In the past, Liquidseal was typically applied to fruit and vegetables in the country of origin. But now the company is taking it a step further by offering a total solution.
European importers of fruits receive their perishables from various countries for packaging and distribution. By introducing our machine, the Dutch, German and Belgian importers of tropical fruit, among others, now have the opportunity to apply our coating on the fruits in the country of arrival. Liquidseal protects the fruits against dehydration, weight loss, bacteria and fungicide throughout the supply chain. This demo machine makes sure Liquidseal is applied to the fruits correctly. We use an input hopper that channels the fruit into the machine, after which it is sprayed. Under the spray unit there are brushes that rub the Liquidseal onto the fruit in the correct manner so that we get 100 percent coverage of the fruit. The machine then dries the fruits including the coating so that it can be properly packed.
This demo machine is suitable for processing avocados, mangos and citrus fruit and can process one ton of fruit per hour, making it also suitable for pilot projects.
