Spanish snake cucumbers took off massively, taking the lead in the assortment. Dutch and domestic offers followed, in almost equal numbers, Belgian shipments completed the market. In Munich, there were also Greek lots from midweek onwards. The end of the season for Central European products is imminent, as their presence was obviously limited. Volume-induced their quotations often tended upward, according to the latest BLE market report.
In the wake of this, Spanish articles also increased in price.
In the case of mini cucumbers, domestic and Dutch deliveries dominated. Meanwhile, products from Spain also arrived in Frankfurt and Munich. Turkish and Greek goods completed the range of products on offer. Prices often rose slightly.
Apples
German batches again dominated, led by Elstar, Jonagold and Boskoop. Demand was often described as satisfactory. Nevertheless, distributors sometimes adjusted their prices downward.
Pears
Italian Santa Maria and Abate Fetel predominated. Williams Christ also came in from Italy. The Netherlands participated primarily with Gute Luise; Conference and Alexander Lucas supplemented the market.
Table grapes
Deliveries continued to expand. However, this did not have any fundamentally negative consequences in terms of prices; these, instead, actually went up here and there.
Plums
The season was coming to an end: domestic shipments were losing out massively. Demand also declined noticeably. Although sellers were able to raise their prices once again in some areas, this was due in particular to the limited supply.
Lemons
Spanish Primofiori and Verdelli gained in relevance, Verna of the same origin lost in importance. In general, demand was met without difficulty.
Bananas
Sales were mixed: selectively, prices did not change significantly, as availability and accommodation were sufficiently harmonized.
Cauliflower
Local offerings dominated almost monopolistically. The availability was enough to satisfy the demand, which was limited.
Lettuce
Belgian and German offers shared the market. Prices remained within their previous ranges as demand was adequately met.
Tomatoes
As the steady and quite vigorous customers were adequately served in all commodity segments, prices remained largely within their previous ranges.
Sweet peppers
While Dutch deliveries decreased in line with the season, Spanish shipments gradually expanded. This had an impact on prices, which overall trended downward.
