Chile is a guest of honor at the exposition

Shanghai International Fruit Exposition will take place on 15-17 November

The Shanghai International Fruit Exposition released an official statement on the 9th of October. The exposition will take place on 15-17 November in halls W1 and W2 of the Shanghai New International Conference Center. The exposition was originally planned for 12-14 August, but has been delayed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

"There has been immense pressure on the import fruit and transport industries since the outbreak of the pandemic. There have been numerous incidents that add one problem after another. Managing business is growing more and more difficult. At the same time, premium domestic fruit has taken the market by storm and distribution channels have become more diversified.

The entire industry is at an extremely crucial turning point. To survive and grow, fruit distribution companies have to meet much higher requirements than before. Managing a business during the pandemic is just one of the many challenges in this industry," explained a member of the organizing committee. "Every colleague and strategic partner in this industry stands up to the pressure and overcomes difficulties, so that we can move forward together in this uniquely challenging time. This gives us a lot of courage and support. A mere 'thank you' can not express even a fraction of our respect for the people in this industry. We will spare no effort in the preparation of this exposition. We will do our best to create the most outstanding atmosphere and realize an amazing display."

The exposition has registered more than 100 Chinese and foreign companies as participants. "Although we have no choice but to delay the exposition, most participants express complete understanding. November is the time of year when western import products usually enter the Chinese market in large volumes. Some of the participants will have a wide variety of fresh fruit products to display in the exposition. This will help provide a rich experience for our visitors."

The theme of this exposition is 'global fruit, Chinese market'. The exposition includes specialized Asia-Pacific fruit displays. Chile will be one of the honored guests during this installment of the Shanghai International Fruit Exposition. Ronald Bown, president of the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX), sent a congratulatory message in response to the official announcement. Participants and visitors will be able to learn about and taste a wide variety of fresh, Chilean fruit products.
