FruitHydroSinni, a company based in the Basilicata region of Italy that sells fruit and vegetables produced using both hydroponic NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) and aeroponic systems, has included in its commercial portfolio the sale of services, such as training, consultancy, and assistance to farmers and businesses that intend to launch these types of systems or need technical and agronomic assistance.

Hydroponics and aeroponics require more attention than crops grown using traditional methods. In fact, a trivial mistake or distraction in terms of nutrient solution or plant design could lead to a series of problems. There is a strong interest in hydroponic and vertical cultivation, but there is also a need for trained professionals in the field, able to conduct the cultivation in the best possible way and avoid mistakes," explained Ivan Santarcangelo, the company's production manager.

"In the last few months, we have received several requests from small and medium-sized companies to set up these types of plants and for technical support during the first periods of production. The idea of setting up an assisted consultancy project at subsidized prices stems from this. "Companies will be able to choose to buy one or more services, from greenhouse and plant design, to the type of cultivation (e.g., NFT, aeroponics or substrates), to agronomic advice and practical training. At the moment, we are receiving inquiries from many areas in Italy, especially from the northern regions. Some consultancy projects are already in place with the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) research organization, as well as with other farms. India, too, has shown particular interest in purchasing certain services, especially training".
"Over time, we want producers to be able to work independently, producing high-quality fruit and vegetables, free of harmful substances and grown under better working conditions, so that we can reduce fatigue and eliminate losses and any complaints from customers.
