Carrefour introduces delivery from BIO stores in Poland
Carrefour Polska is making it easier for customers across the country to access organic food products by offering delivery service from its network of Carrefour BIO stores. Holland: Sendcloud closes 150mln round to grow its global presence
Sendcloud, the leading e-commerce shipping platform in Europe, has raised 150mln euros in a Series C funding round. The investment was led by Softbank, along with L Catterton and HPE Growth. The Dutch-based company will use the money to accelerate growth and continue its ongoing mission for international expansion. Their headquarters in Eindhoven currently houses 400 employees. In order to continue to grow its global presence, Sendcloud wants to use the capital to hire 250 more, the company said in an interview.

US: Instacart gets under way with 24/7 delivery
Amid the fanfare of its “virtual convenience store” launch with The Kroger Co., Instacart quietly introduced another convenience-focused offering: 24/7 delivery service. San Francisco-based Instacart said that 24/7 delivery will be available at selected retail partners with stores open at all hours, including 7-Eleven, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid and Safeway locations. With the service, the online grocery delivery giant also will extend hours for retailers that aren’t open 24 hours a day but operate later at night or early in the morning.

US: Schnuck Markets goes bigger with local produce
Schnuck Markets expects the “most expansive local produce season” in its history with the help of the Foodshed.io platform.
