"Door Opener Day" of the "Sendung mit der Maus" on October 3, 2021

MULTIVAC opens its doors for children

How does cheese end up in its packaging? On October 3, MULTIVAC invites children aged 7 to 13 to discover together how the food of the future could be packaged. And it will be safe and environmentally friendly. This is the third time MULTIVAC has taken part in the "Door Opener Day" of WDR's "Sendung mit der Maus" with an event for families at the company's headquarters. More information and the opportunity to register can be found at: Doors Open 2021.

At the event, MULTIVAC will give children an insight into the world of packaging machines and vividly convey what different types of packaging there are - and how they help consumers or patients. Which packaging is suitable for which product? What is a vacuum? And how can it improve the shelf life of the food? The experienced technicians use different machines to demonstrate how food can be packaged today and preserved using suitable packaging technology.

Participants will also experience live how MULTIVAC's various cutting and packaging machines work. They are allowed to pack food and other products themselves, but also learn how they, as consumers, can contribute to the responsible use of resources and therefore also to a better environment. On a joint journey of discovery, everyone then works together to develop an idea of what food could be packaged in the future and what suitable packaging would have to look like for it.

The event will take place on October 3, 2021, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. and from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. at the Training and Application Center of MULTIVAC in Wolfertschwenden will take place. All mouse fans between the ages of 7 and 13 are invited along with their families.

Since 2011, doors have been opening all over Germany for the mouse and his fans to "wrap up" live exciting facts in entertaining factual stories and impart knowledge in a way that is suitable for children.
