“A great strength of Tie Up Farming is the ability to work off line"

Tie Up Farming’s end to end technology management system has been available for a few years now and it has become an important tool for large businesses.

“We offer a cloud-based solution dedicated to the horticulture industry, focussing on the operational side of the agro-business. The system can link into other things but we focus on the work which is being done on the farm,” explains Roei Yakobi. “For example managing the labour, fertilizer, the harvest and next year we will go into machinery.”

Tie Up Farming have recently released the scouting and recommendation modules.

“The agronomist can go onto the farm and scout for pests and disease, providing detailed reports and pictures etc and then the modules can provide detailed recommendations that link to the argo-business database. The agrobusiness can convert those recommendations into a spraying task with the click of a button. There is also a spray diary and the inventory management of chemicals all in one place.”

The technology is not just supplying the company with a report so they can be compliant with regulations and the audit, it also captures all the costs for that farm and for the individual block. There is a lot of analytics that are being provided with this one action and at one data entry point on the farm.

“You can link that to the other modules that we released a couple of months ago, the General Task and the Harvest Module and you basically have 80% of the agro-business being managed all on one platform.”

With the technology from Tie Up Farming growers can get data on compliance, capture costs and provide traceability.

Tim Teague from Red Rich Fruit, “Tie Up gives us the ability to record individual pickers against individual bins and the quality of that picking and also the quality of the growing in that bin. That is something that we’ve not had before, it very easy on a manual platform to forget what the fruit was like before, but on a digital platform which records, it makes that task a whole lot simpler.”

Michael Crisera – Food Growers Victoria: “A great strength of Tie Up Farming is the ability to work off line, most growers find themselves in weak phone reception areas so if you can enter data while you are offline then it make it a great tool to use.”
