MULTIVAC has signed a cooperation agreement with packaging machine manufacturer Italianpack, expanding its product portfolio in the tray sealer category. MULTIVAC has a three-year purchase option on 25.1% of the shares in Italianpack.
With this cooperation, MULTIVAC is taking a strategically important step towards expanding its portfolio in the traysealer category. Italianpack, founded in 1988 in Como, Italy, is a growing manufacturer of tray sealers with high quality and performance standards, distributing its products worldwide both directly and through a network of dealers. The company employs around 70 people and achieved a turnover of €13.7 million in 2020.
"Italianpack has been successful on the market for many years. We look forward to cooperating in the tray sealer category and we hope to be able to use our strengths to the full for the benefit of our customers," declare Christian Traumann, Managing Director of MULTIVAC and Tomaso Petrini, CEO of Italianpack.
As part of the cooperation, they intend to start distributing the smaller model series of Italianpack's tray sealers via MULTIVAC's worldwide distribution and service network. With its more than 85 subsidiaries and market coverage of 165 countries, MULTIVAC can contribute to the successful sale of Italianpack tray sealers worldwide. Both companies are convinced that this will enable them to be an even better partner for their existing customers.
